Lenoir North Carolina
Lenoir is a small city located in Western North Carolina, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in Caldwell County. While Lenoir North Carolina is a small metro area, it is the largest city in Caldwell County and is the county seat. With the lovely backdrop provided by the mountains and convenient locations near Hickory and the High Country, Lenoir is a great place to work and live!

Economy
In recent years there has been a great effort to revitalize Lenoir's economy so that many new businesses will start moving to the area. The plan was successful, and Lenoir North Carolina is quickly becoming a booming area, as it has a lot of potential for growth. The Lenoir real estate market has grown as well in recent years and the outlook for the overall economy of the area is very good.

Schools
Caldwell County public schools are excellent with several elementary and middle schools and two high schools. The schools are dedicated to helping all students achieve and learn.

Hospitals
The Caldwell Memorial Hospital is located in Lenoir and serves the area. There are several other hospitals in the area as well. The Valdese General Hospital is about 12 miles away and is located in Valdese. About 18 miles away in Hickory is the Frye Regional Medical Center which serves the Lenoir area as well.

Activities
Because Lenoir North Carolina is located at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, there is an abundance of outdoor activities and recreation opportunities in the area. Visit the J.E. Broyhill Park, with basketball courts, and picnic tables, it’s the perfect place to spend an afternoon playing. There are several other parks in the area for your enjoyment, many featuring both indoor and outdoor recreation activities. Another popular park area is the William B. Stronach Aquatic and Fitness Center. If you like swimming, this facility is for you, with an indoor junior Olympic sized pool and an outdoor Olympic sized pool.

The downtown area of Lenoir has been revitalized in recent years and there are many new restaurants and shops located in the area. Spend the afternoon shopping and then grab a bite at one of the many local eateries.

Just a short 30 minute drive away from Lenoir is the High Country area of Western North Carolina. Home of Appalachian State University, Boone is a mountain town with a lot to do. Known for its many tourist attractions and things to do, you will never get bored when visiting Boone. You can hike in the mountains, check out Tweetsie Railroad, or spend the day visiting Grandfather Mountain. Lenoir North Carolina is a wonderful place to live and play!
